The Sound and the Fury - Original Art

Fury at the sound and reality of their destruction. With a gaze that asks why. Because they have earned the right to share this planet with us.

The number one threat to lions in the wild are humans, and wild populations have declined 43% in the past 21 years with only about 23,000 remaining. As the dominate species, we have a responsibility to protect all living things we share this planet with.

This painting combines pumice gel, glass beads, fiber paste, and book pages from The Sound and the Fury. The painting was completed with Golden professional acrylic paints and finished with 4 coats of archival high-gloss varnish.

Sales of this painting will support the African Parks Network. They are working to secure parks from the threat of poaching. Their work also combines habitat management, wildlife reintroduction and trans-locations, monitoring programs, as well as relevant research to inform conservation actions.
